Ask a Question

Hi

I built my very nice website in Nicepage and then my C drive got a virus and I lost the C drive completely along with everything I built. This was before I paid for the software and could not save a project.

I have built a new one in the program I paid for and each time I save as a project there is no project file for me to open and the tutorial does not tell me what to do other than import project. What do I import?

If you choose Export, and then choose Project file, it will ask for a location to save the file.
Make sure you put it in a safe place.
Also, if you do internal backup saves, it should save them in the Documents\Nicepage\backups folder.

If you are building a site and save it, it should automatically be in the dashboard the next time you open the app.

Hi

Thank you for the info, appreciated.

The question I asked is what do I import if I have a zipped file where I saved the project. There is no project file inside the zipped file.

It is not in my backups folder. For some reason there is nothing in my backups folder.

The Project file is a .zip file.
If you saved a Project file, you should be able to import it.

Hi Stephen,

Nicepage saves projects in the Documents/Nicepage folder. These are project folders. You see these websites on the Desktop app dashboard. If you want to back up the project, you can export it as Project:

export-project.png

This is the archive - a compressed project folder, not a file. This archive you can import in Nicepage using the "Import project" option.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
