Ask a Question

I am having difficulty with the hyperlink and text.
Its not possible to simply create a link with text instead it now wants it to be a button which is difficult as it cannot read properly within text as in flowing as ordinary looking text but with a colour to indicate its a link.
Anyway I found the 'button' that looks more like a piece of text ie hyperlink and used that. But because its still a 'button' it is very very diifcult to line up within text... I managed for five our of six..but the last one called The British Hedgehog Preservation Society will not line up and yet the text around it is the same as the other five in terms of font and size. The secion is on the Home Page in the section called Animal Care and Welfare and its the last of the six boxes.

Hello Jeff,

Yes, the text highlighted text as the link will have a button function.

Please mark the issue on a screenshot, what exactly do you need to achieve as a final result for the last button so there would be no misunderstanding.
As for now the buttons are lined differently not only the last one. Please have a look at the screenshot attached.

Thanks.

The line up of them is as near as I can get it
The text in each 'subject box' is the same as you can see in terms of font and size.

I wanted the text I typed within each to be highlighted as a link but the software doesnt allow that anymore and it now acts as a button which means you cannot properly line anything up.
Its quite annoying to have to decide to set the sentence saying click the link below

How did I do this link as you see it
clicked on element , then button, then clicked on HYperlink preset with one underline
Then in the link changed the label to read as seen and then added in the url in the box , clicked done... and then tried to line it up as best as one can.

I am now in process of changing all my text and adding a button below each text with the same details but as a button! BUt that isnt what I wanted.

I wanted to be able to read the text so that when I want further information I simply click on the highlighted text that would indicate there is a link as you can in this box asking the question

if I can write text as in the box bove and have a link that is highlighted which everyone knows indicates a link why cant the software do thta instead of being treated as a button! buttons take up more space that font text and thus cannot ever be contained within text... we dont all want BUTTONS! :( :( :(

I dont see how I can take a screenshot of what I want when the software doesnt do it but this question and answer does

Think whats needed is a text editor within Nicepage that will enable us to do exactly this. IN Wordpress you can get exactly that so that you can lay out text as you want, get spell checks done add images etc...

Hi Jeff,

I would suggest you not to add a separate button itself, but type the whole text in the control, highlight the part that you want to link and use the Hyperlink option in the context menu. It should not create extra space for such a button.
