Ask a Question

Hi i have seen your videos in the documentations about the section menu. I still try to understand how to change the look of the menu. Here is the steps i do.....

I simply click first to the menu, it show then a box that rectangle the menu; also on the right properties panel i see "menu".
This ensure my self that i have not selected any other things.
In the properties of the menu on the right i see the word: "presets"
And just under it i see a arrow "triangle" pointing down.
After i click on the arrow and i see some "presets" of prefabricated menu.

Since i think "if i'm correct" that Nicepage is based on the old Artisteer. I would like to design completely the menu, as create a side menu and top menu. Put it the color i want, put it the design i want, put some texture on it as i want. I would like to do it as this video:

Artisteer Menu Examples

Thank's for your help and time.

Hi Sylvain,

Actually Nicepage is not based on Artisteer, we really took some ideas from it, but it is not a copy of Artisteer. Unfortunately there is no option to create a vertical menu like it was in Artisteer, this option is in our wishlist, and there is no texture option for the main menu also.

Thank's for your reply. It could be great to have the possibility to change the horizontal "prefab menu". That could have possibilities as changing the colors, changing the font, putting onto some texture, bullet and gradient; also some shadow. Changing also for the options for the different states of the menu as (normal/hover/on-click/active). What is (on-click) wich is "like" being in "hover state", but it can change when the user (mouse-click-on) the current section of the menu.

Also that the user could if wanted choose his own images that replace the the exact wanted place. Like an image that is for the menu under the font text for the menu "Home Page" or other pages. That could also be changed and each personalized for the different states. Like (normal/hover/on-click/activated). Making the users to have real the possibility to personalize each things of the menu. It could i think skyrock the users interrest into Nicepage.

The other thing is that the "Sub-Menu" can be personalized, also the "Sub-Sub-Menu" that all things that can be personalized. This for the (Normal Menu or Hamburger Menu). Like when the user click a menu, it could make the sub-menu apear the way the user want (horizontal or vertical) under or on the side of what is clicked. Again personalizing every aspect of the menu.

Like the horizontal principal menu, it could have the possibility that when "hover" it make automaticly the sub-menu apear verticaly on the right or left side of what is hovered. Also when the "sub-menu" auto-apear, when the user is (hover) on a section that have a "sub-sub-menu" that also can be personalized. This "sub-sub-menu" could apear as the customer want, like could apear (under) the sub-menu; even apear on the left or right side of the sub-menu. Again all the possibilitiy's to personalize it.

What could be also great is that the users can also have a "vertical menu", that each things can be personalized (normal/hover/on-click/activated) change the look of each as: color, font, shadow, bullet, gradient, texture, image. The user could also have the possibility to have if wanted these options. Having just a vertical menu or having just a horizontal menu or having (horizontal and vertical) menu on the page wanted. It's important that the pages made with Nicepage, "auto-detect" the size of the screen, making the content and the menus "auto-position". Similar like a hamburger menu. Or like blocks that have some content and that auto-position it self.

An important feature for your customers i do believe, is to have the possibility to add some html codes. Just look the questions (i did), many ask the possibility to have the option to add there own codes. So there is some market there. Like adding html code to put some Youtube video, that would need to do import some html codes. Adding some codes, to put some banner of a website; even some external web counter for there website; and many more. Like wanting to add simply some "scrooling section" into the scrooling page (into that is into).

Well i'm not paid for giving you all these great tips, to skyrocket Nicepage software. But i want good things for your customers, even for you that work for Nicepage.

Thank's for your time and help. A+

Hi Sylvain,

Thanks for your suggestion. We do have some options for customizing the menu hover states, editing fonts and so on. Also in the new updates we have added the Meg Menu option with more features and the possibility to add other controls to the menu area. We'll continue to develop the mega meu feature.
