Ask a Question

Hi!

Using a Joomla CMS, I am wondering if there is a way to set up multiple menus. I have been using the off-canvas hamburger menu aligned on the left. I would like to setup a second off-canvas menu for admin purposes on the right. The admin menu would become active once a user is logged in.

I know I can set up a Joomla position in the header to do this, but the hamburger style and off-canvas functionality would be missing. Is there simple styling that can be added to a menu module to do this?

thanks

Hi,

In general, you can add second Nicepage Menu control. This control will create a new position for Joomla menu module (hmenu1). Еhey both have to work independently.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hi Olivia!

I have tried this and it kinda works. What you say is true, but its not working the way I think it should. In this case I want to set up a menu for the Admin users and they must have login rights to see the menu. The Joomla settings appear to have no effect on the second menu and it is visible all of the time.

So what really needs to happen, is set up a Joomla position so that Joomla can control the access level. What would be ideal is if we could set the module style as stacked menu. Joomla give us this ability to set the module style under the advanced tab in the menu settings.

thanks,

Hi Randy,

In general, the menu with access to registered customers should not be visible to guests. I've asked our developers to check this issue. We'll let you know when we receive any news from them.
