I'm having trouble getting the custom fields to work in the plugin for joomla 4.
How to make it work directly insert in custom fields directly by nicepage?

You can add the fields in the positions in the content, as it is described in the following article

Please try the Shortcode element available under the + >> Position and Shortcode >> Shortcode.

Unfortunately. no. You need somehow connect variables and Nicepage. And there are only 2 ways: shortcodes and positions.
