Any HTML boxes fade out if placed under a text block, but appear when page is scrolled.

Ask a Question

Since the last update, I have found any HTML boxes that are inserted under any text block, fades out and can only be seen when the page is scrolled down, even thought the top half of the HTML block should be visible.

Attached are 2 screenshots, one is of the page as seen by someone without scrolling, and the other is when the page is scrolled, previously, the top half of the HTML block could have been seen, and now when someone views the page, and doesn't see that section, they would immediately assume that the 'Comments' box is not there.

To verify this, go to Slicksshuttle Comments page the top half of the comments box is not visible, but scroll down a little and it fades in, scroll up and it fades out.

Before the recent update, that half of the box was visible so that anyone seeing it knows there's more further down, but as it's not there until scrolling, no-one would know it's there.

Hi, Kent,

I suppose that you want this section to appear right after opening the page, don't you? If yes, it seems that you enabled the animation on scroll for the HTML Element. If you don't want it, simply open the editor, click on the HTML Element, and disable the animation on the right panel (don't forget to republish the website after making changes).

Let us know if you need our further help!

Ok, thanks, it worked, but I didn't have animation enabled when I created the page, because there was no point in animating a google map,

The only way I can think of this happening, was during the update testing by devs, a setting was probably left enabled and was mirrored when I updated, because the effect didn't happen before the update but happened after the update, but it's fixed now.

It's only fixed to the point that I had to disable animation, but I found out that if I wanted to animate say a heading within a text element, then there's no actual option to animate static objects, only scroll and mouse over, there used to be that option, but it's now gone, that's why any previous animations in older versions of NS, have now been turned into 'On Scroll' animation, which is why the contents of any text elements that were animated would only animate when the page is scrolled, and not animate, with or without scrolling.

Hi, Kent,

In previous versions of Nicepage, animations were only on scroll. Then, we implemented animations on hover. Anyway, it would be helpful for us if you could provide some examples.

OK, I created a test project, (attached) and on the home page, I set the background to black, and the texts are white.

Under the header (menu area), is a line that should be animated which I set to spiral on scroll, but in fact should only be animated when the page has loaded, no scroll no mouse over, the next line down is not to be animated, and the text block below is is a large block that probably would have images etc etc inside it.

When you open the home page inside NS, you'll see everything is set, now preview it in chrome, snd the top line vanishes, whereas it should only be animated as soon as the page has loaded.

I didn't set this to private because the test project is just that, a test project, there is no information that has to be hidden.

Hi, Kent,

Unfortunately, we do not have animations on page load, and we never had. There are only animations on the scroll and hover animations.
