Ask a Question

Hi

I am able to add my base tag to the bottom of the head section ok.. but that is too late in the code for me as I am rewriting my url and the page needs to pick up the real path via the base tag before it gets any assets.

How can I have the base tag first in the head section? Is this a possible future addition?
I have to manually move it each time I publish and it's getting a bit much to do each time when a simple switch could have it in the correct place for me!
Tnanks

Hi

There's nothing wrong with your code as such, it's just that the way I use nice page is for landing pages that I rewrite the url using .htaccess file.
The issue is that the page still needs to see the actual path to the assets rather than the rewritten path.
So having the base tag at the start of the head section allows the references lower down to access the correct path to files that are needed for the page.

At the moment every time I make any change to a page in the nice page editor I have to manually move the base tag from the end of the head to the start. Ideally if there was a switch: Add to start / end of head section.

I think others would find this a useful feature.

Thanks

Clive

Hi Clive,

We'll consider your suggestion for our wishlist. Meanwhile there is no option to control where the code is added inside the head section.

Thanks Hella

I've started using Nice page rather than Mobirise and have to say its a much better more precise tool, mobirise did have that option as a plugin to put code at the start of head section but I'm moving on to use Nice page now as its much better and stable tool.
I've been building html pages since 1995 at all levels and this is the easiest its ever been to build for multi devices using Nice page!

Thanks
