Report a bug

Hello,

I downloaded the latest desktop version this morning and made some adjustments to my site and analytics. I uploaded the site and now this is what happens.

When I launch the site it works just fine, I can navigate to each page from the menu, HOWEVER, when I click back to the main menu which is Hot Tubs I get a File not found (404)

regards,

Ken

You can change your menu item "Hot Tubs" from http://www.aquafriends.ca/Spas.html to http://www.aquafriends.ca.
Maybe there is no "Spas.html"? Just an index.html?

Oh, I see that,

I think this could be a bug in the new release.

I did rename these menu options in the past and all the code reflected the change.

However, should I be editing the source for this change or can it be changed in the panels?

I just thought of something, I cannot edit the source because if I save it again it will over right what I did.

So not sure how to fix these links.

Ok, I edited the site.json, saved it, then saved the HTML code and that fixed the problem.

As I mentioned earlier, I have renamed these menus in the past, the system generated the new menu and I can then delete the old code from disk and it worked just fine.

Now I know I have to do a lot more testing before I go live.

thanks for your help.

I fixed my issue by editing the site.json, which the desktop version generated. Previous versions of nicepage would modify this behind the scenes. I have renamed my menu options several times trying to get the working correct. The navigation for multiple pages is stored inside the site.json file.

Moving forward I will have to check this file when I make menu name changes.

In my case the site.json is stored in the Documents/Nicepage folder on the Mac. This is generated when you do a save inside nicepage.

When you export it the site.json goes away and the output is in Documents/Nicepage Template

You will want to make sure you modify it in the /Nicepage folder so the new like path is always exported properly.
