Ask a Question

Hi

My website is 50 pages long so far, it will be expanded to about 200 pages
When I make a new page I have to upload the whole site to add the page, obviously using large amounts of data and takes a long time to do so
How can I upload just one page ?

Hi, Colin,

You can export your website to HTML, and try to upload only one HTML page with its corresponding CSS file.

Let us know if you need our further help!

Hi, Leif,

When you open a folder with your HTML website, you can see, for example, the Home.html file. This is the page. Its corresponding CSS file is Home.css.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for kind reply.
Follow up:
a) If I have a page called, say, "Adventure" and I want to update only this page: Shall I look for the page called adventure.html? Can I choose to upload only this page?
b) If I make a FTP upload from the in-built function of the app: how can I select the one and only page to be uploaded?
Best regards,
Leif

Hi Colin,

  1. The page should have the name specified in the Page Settings >> Page Name
  2. There is no way to choose only one page to be transferred via FTP.

Hi

Following on from this question, I still don't see how I can upload a single page without uploading the whole website
As it stands, I must upload to a directory called "public_html" , how does one upload just one page to that ?, without upsetting the rest of the website.
My site will end up being at least 200 pages, there is no way I can upload that many pages just to change or add a page
There must be away around it
Also another question - Is the program multi-threaded , it runs pretty slow even though I have a 32-core processor

Thanks

Hello,

Unfortunately, Nicepage exports the whole website and does not support exporting websites per page.

The application speed depends on many factors like page content (large images, video, custom scripts, maps, a number of elements per page) and computer performance, including CPU resources at the specific moment.
If you encounter performance problems, we recommend that you close all applications running in parallel with Nicepage for testing and try the new project. Does the issue continue? What operations are slow?

Hello

There are contradictions here, 2 responses say you can upload a single page from the folder
I can't see how to upload these pages "HTML" & "CSS"
Regarding the slow loading, it is when the program opens trying to load 50+pages. The computer is no slouch, it is a 32 core with 32GB of memory, the main drive is a NVME drive which loads very fast

Can you locate the NP project file directly or do you have to export a folder?
Thanks

Download FileZilla Client for macOS
Export a Nicepage Folder, then choose Ovewrite if different size or source newer action.
