Ask a Question

In Nicepage update 4.4 you added:
- Support for large screens

When you upload an image, WordPress creates three different image sizes.
Thumbnail
Medium
The great
Original size
These images are displayed by the browser according to the display size (mobile, Tablet, Full HD, Retina, etc.) The srcset attributes are used.

Lazy Load does not replace this feature and it is impossible to optimize images without srcset for small and large displays. A larger image must be used if I want it to look good on Full HD and 4K display. This hurts the page loading speed for mobile and tablets.

Do you plan to include srcset attributes in NicePage any time soon?
Alternatively, if you have a tip on how to optimise a picture for mobile and a 4k display in NicePage, let me know how.
Well thank you
Robert

Hi Robert,

We added your request to our wish list. But, unfortunately, we cannot say whether this issue will be implemented or not and when. At this moment Nicepage does not support different images for different responsive modes.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Hello Olivia
So how do you recommend optimizing images to display optimally on mobile and Retina and 4K monitors?
High image resolution slows down time on mobile phones and tablets unnecessarily. The small image will again appear unsatisfactory on Full HD and not to mention the 4k display.
So I ask for advice and recommendations on image resolution suitable for Nice Page (of course I use standard webp)

Hi Robert,

In general, there are no special recommendations for Nicepage as it creates standard HTML pages. The background image is still a standard background image, even on Nicepage. But Nicepage does not provide the option to specify or load different background images for different modes. Also, Nicepage resizes images if the file size is larger than 256kb AND at least one axis size is more than 1600px.

But you can try to assign different background images to the elements via custom CSS for different responsive modes using media queries. All custom CSS can be added to the Page or Site Settings >> CSS tab.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
