Ask a Question

Website main heading is
KULUISTA
KILPAILUVALTTI

With hyphenation
KU-LU-IS-TA
KIL-PAI-LU-VALT-TI

In desktop mode it looks grate, because one word is in same line but when word brakes to two lines it goes wrong.

Is there some way to control hyphenation?

KILPAILUVALTTI is compound word in Finnish language.

When word brakes to two lines it would be grate if it would brake as following:
KULUISTA
KILPAILU
VALTTI

What should I do?

Hello Tomi,

You can add your heading as an HTML element if you need the word to be non-breaking and use additional CSS code for this.
There are some rules to achieve different results, please check the article from the link - https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_pr_hyphens.asp and https://css-tricks.com/almanac/properties/h/hyphenate/
Let us know if you would need any further help to implement the code.
