Ask a Question

It should be really easy to do this but I have no idea how to do this in your program. If you'll look at the attachment, I want to have a blog page below the header section with main area to the left for new blog posts but a sidebar on the right showing all the latest blog posts. How do I do this in NicePage?

Thanks
Danny Legare.

Hi Danny,

You need to design the Blog Template in the desktop application. Add the sidebar on this page and create a widget area in it, then export the theme to your site and set the desired widget with the posts in the sidebar and the main area will show the latest posts. If you need to show only one latest post, then edit the template so there will be only one Post control in it.

I'm using the desktop application. What I want to know is how to do it, you're telling me what I need to do but now how to do it, can you be more specific? Thanks for answering me.

Thank you for this information. But I need to know more. I've attached a screen shot of the page now that Blog Template has been chosen. I still have one issue:

I want the sidebar on the right to show Recent Posts. Is there a selection to make that what comes in the sidebar? Is this doable in the Desktop version of Nicepage or do I need to get it onto a website with the Nicepage plugin in order to set this up?

Thanks

Hi Danny,

As shown in the video tutorial, you need to activate the sidebar in the Blog template first, export the theme to WordPress and install it. Then, from Appearance >> Widgets, select the widget Recent Posts:

Then configure the needed settings:

The recent posts widget will appear on your site:

Hi Danny,

As a follow-up, you add sidebars to the blog template only in the Nicepage desktop app. The widget element can be added to a Nicepage page using the Nicepage WordPress plugin:
