Edit In Nicepage not working Firefox

Ask a Question

When I click Edit in Nicepage on an article, instead of working normally it now asks me to login. When I click Have an account? it takes me to another login screen. I enter my details in there but the screen just goes blank and I can't work on any articles.
I use Firefox as my preferred browser and this is where the issue is happening.
If I use Chrome it works so I can keep editing but would like it to work properly on Firefox too

Hi,

Have you tried to temporarily turn off all browser extensions on Firefox for testing? If not, please try to do that and let us know about the result. You can also go to the browser settings and check the cache settings to see whether Nicepage cookies are blocked or not.

Thanks Paul
I can't see or find any Nicepage cookies being blocked as such
Can you tell me where I will find these in Firefox though so I can be sure
I haven't changed anything recently with firefox or my settings for it to happen
Let me know where i need to check exactly and I will to help
Thanks

Hi, Chris,

Go to Options ==> Privacy and Security. There are three security modes: Standart, Strict, and Custom. Please select Standart or Custom and test the issue again. Please also try to disable all browser extensions, some of them can block the Nicepage cookies.

Thanks Paul
I have tried those setting changes and nothing changed sorry
Still asks me to login before editing and then my credentials just get cleared out.
I only had 1 extension and that was already disabled.
It was set to standard already so I changed it to Custom and unticked the cookies box to test
Nothing changed though
Please let me know what else needs to be done to keep using Firefox thanks

Thanks for the update and for sticking with me on this issue LGC
Nice to know it isn't just me experiencing this still
I am the same. All was good for me before and never even used to think about the login issue. Just got on with creating articles until recently.

Hi, dear users,

Please try to do the following: clear all Cookies and Site Data in the Firefox settings, log in on the Nicepage website, and relaunch the Nicepage plugin. Let us know about the result.

The only thing that works for me in Firefox is this exact way: Clear all cookies, delete cache (my Firefox does this automatically on closing) -> log in to nicepage.com -> go to your website and click on the edit with Nicepage link. I have not found any other working way.

This worked fine, but only for 1 website at a time. When trying to edit another site I get the same error. I need to clear all cookies, delete cache, login to nicepage and repeat every time a site needs to be edited using this solution.

Hi,

I tested on two websites: clear data >> login on nicepage.com >> open editor on website 1 >> open editor on website 2 (different CMS on localhost), and in both cases the autologin works ok. please note that there is no such problem in Chrome. This is FF specific issue that appeared with one of the latest FF updates.
