Ask a Question

I created a site and uploaded to my file manager and it is live www.mkfinancialplanningltd.co.uk
But I had to reinstall my hard drive and now I have downloaded the software again, the site is not in the software.

How do I get it back in there so I can make updates?

Hello Mark,

Thanks for contacting us

Your websites and projects are stored on your local PC by default if you didn't change the path. So if it's missing we can't do anything about it. Try to use the time machine.

Thank you

Did you by chance check the box to include your Project files when you exported it?
Ahmad, that box needs to be on by default.

The stored project went when I installed a new hard drive. Surely there is a way to reconnect it with my file manager?

Ahmad, that box needs to be on by default.

Thanks Sam, will check that.

Surely there is a way to reconnect it with my file manager?

Only if you saved your website as a project file and uploaded to the File manager. Download it and import it into the Nicepage Desktop App.

Try to remember if you did export your website as a project. Check the image below.

export-project.png

Check the attachments and try to import the Nicepage project to your Desktop App.

I don't think I did it as a project. I have a zipped file called site1.zip in my file manager, when I look inside, I see all the nicepage pages etc, but when I try to import it, I get a message invalid nicepage project file.

Hi Mark,

If you are getting the message invalid nicepage project file then it's just an exported HTML website. You need to recreate your project in the Nicepage again to be able to edit it in Desktop App. Otherwise you can edit some information manually.
