How can I create a custom wordpress template for search.php.
Now I receive a error message when I try to create a custom template for search.php

Hello Stelian,

Sorry in advance for the delay with reply.

Your current Nicepage Theme search.php file is using a Blog Template to output the search results.
So basically, you cannot replace it with any custom template and name as search.php.

You can customize your code to alter the search.php file, for example, or you can use a plugin.
We cannot recommend editing the Theme PHP files, only if you really understand where and how to do this. Note, the Theme code for the search.php file should be updated each time you update your Theme from the desktop application. And we cannot support any manually customized Theme files either.

Search plugins are easier to install and maintain.
Please choose any of the provided search plugins from the WordPress list that will correspond with you.
You can integrate the plugin to the Nicepage page in WordPress by adding the shortcode to the page. The shortcode is provided by the search plugin.
