You can open the Items tab on the right property panel and reduce distances between items or you can put the Countdown Element to the Grid. The width of the Countdown will be reduced with the width of the Grid.

Please try to add the Countdown Element to the Grid, and resize the Grid itself. The Countdown will be resized too.
