Ask a Question

Hi anyone,
I would like to know how I can add the "url" element in {

    "@context": "http://schema.org",

I noticed that in some sites built with Nicepage is present, in others not. Why? Where it's missing, Google Search Consol reports me as an error.
Where is missing, I have to add it manually page by page?
Thank you for helping me!

Emira

Volker,

Can you please create a separate private case providing your project?

Thank you. I have tried this now for one of the pages but I notice that the canonical URL is the same for all language versions of a page and corresponds to the last canonical URL I entered. This does not seem right.
The canonical URL indicates the main URL out of several (nearly) identical pages. Language versions are not identical. They only have an identical structure but the content is completely different, precisely because they are in different languages. The text in one language may even have a different meaning in another language.
How can this be resolved?
Second question:
When I first discovered that the URL was missing in the scheme, I had added the Scheme script manually in the site SEO field. This did not work, obviously because Google continued to mark the erroneous script.
Now that I have added a canonical URL in each page SEO, I need to eliminate the additional script. So, I have deleted the additional HTML code in the site SEO, but when I publish the site to HTML, the additional script HTML is still there on every page.. How do I eliminate it? Only one of the two Scheme scripts has the correct information.

Hello,

The Canonical Link option is available under the Page Settings >> SEO (not Site Settings). Please make sure that you opened exactly Page Settings dialog.

I have the same problem. There is no field for canonical link under page setting>> SEO.
My pages don't get accepted for indexing by Google because of this.
Google says
"Detected items
error
Unnamed item
1 critical issue
Missing field "url"
type Organization
name Aparthotel Boquete
logo https://aparthotel-boquete.com/images/umbrella400x400transparentbackground.png"

I have added the correct script in the header but cannot eliminate the wrong one that is created by Nicepage, and so the error remains.
Should be like this:
"{

"@context": "http://schema.org/hotel",
"@type": "Hotel",
"name": "Aparthotel Boquete",
"logo": "https://aparthotel-boquete.com/images/umbrella400x400transparentbackground.png",
"url":"https://aparthotel-boquete.com",
"sameAs": [
        "https://www.facebook.com/boquete.apartamentos.3/",
        "https://www.instagram.com/boqueteapartments/"    ]

}"
This URL should in my understanding be the same in all page headers, while the canonical URL should be specific for each page.
How can I eliminate the wrong script that is created by Nicepage? It does not let my pages get indexed which is a serious damage for our business.

Thank you Hella,
at the moment I can see:
{

    "@context": "http://schema.org",
    "@type": "Organization",
    "name": "name ",
    "logo": "images/logo.gif"

but none: "url": "index.html", (only this is missing)
So I have to put the whole code in the Additional Head HTML tab? Or should I just add "url": "index.html",?

Thanks a lot!

E.

Hi Enza,

If you miss some code in the Head section you can add it in your theme by manually inserting the correct code under the Site Settings >> HTML >> Additional Head HTML tab.
