At first, we recommend that you backup the website.
Nicepage themes for Joomla 3 are not compatible with Joomla 4. The same is related to the plugin. Therefore you will need to re-export the theme from the Desktop app and install the plugin for Joomla 4. You can install the theme and plugin for Joomla 4 on the Joomla 4 only. Therefore, you should update the Joomla first.

And how would we go about doing this, if the original design was in the Windows App, but then was maintained an updated directly through the Joomla Plugin.

We no longer have a current copy of the website in the Windows App, only in the live production Joomla Website.
Is there a way to export the Nice Page content or theme from the Joomla Plugin?

Hi,

No, there is no export option in the Joomla plug-in. If you need to move the content, you can try to use some migration tools for Joomla. But the theme should be exported from the desktop application. You would need to find the project file that could be imported in the desktop application.

So that leaves all of the websites being maintained directly from the Joomla Plugin without a direct path to upgrade to Joomla 4.

Are there any feature requests or plans to allow the content to to be exported out of the live Joomla Websites?
If not then it makes it really difficult to use this as a White Labeled solution if the Windows App is the only path forward.

Can you please confirm it if is just the template file and the plugin that is incompatible with Joomla 4?
or is the content itself is also incompatible?

We haven't tested it, but I hope that the Joomla migrate option will work fine with the transfer of the content between sites. But the plug-in needs to be exported from the desktop application as the plug-in for Joomla 4.0 version.

I understand how to export the 4.0 template, but how do I export the 4.0 plugin - do I just export the NP theme & Pages & Editor - updated NP version 4.1.0?
