Ask a Question

So, I read this post from 2019, but it really didn't help:
https://nicepage.com/questions/57023/how-to-use-nicepage-with-other-joomla-components
How do I get a Joomla component to load in a Nicepage created template? I'm not talking about module positions, or blog posts or posts. By the way, I know what a shortcode is but that's not really a solution to the problem. Can anyone help?

Hi.

You can try this plugin (not tested, but should to work): https://regularlabs.com/componentsanywhere

But in general Nicepage very uncomfortable to use with CMS. Nicepage useful for small HTML projects with only one language (multilanguage still not supported), IMHO.

Hello Yukiko,

Please specify what exact Joomla component you need to integrate?

You can display modules inside the Joomla native article content with the {loadposition} shortcode. Nicepage Position element, if added on the Nicepage page, works just like this Joomla shortcode. It does not create the position in the theme, but you can display modules in articles (in the Nicepage page content) -> inside the component area.
Please read more about:
https://nicepage.com/doc/76324/position-in-content-with-extension
https://nicepage.com/doc/76096/custom-position-in-content-with-extension

The Position element added on the Template (Post, Blog, etc) works like the standard module position created in the theme -https://nicepage.com/doc/76349/position-in-blog-and-post-sidebar-with-app

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a shot. I kinda got that feeling about it being more for small websites.

Well that was a real letdown, the developer has not updated the plugin for Joomla 4 and it looks like he really does not have any plans on doing so. I will try to email him to see if I can get him interested in doing so, but in a forum post on his site, someone posted that none of his extensions work with Nicepage. If anyone else has any suggestions I would be most appreciative.

Hi, I've been trying with both hikashop and easyshop. I will check your links and see if they solve the problem. Thanks

So when I add a module position like add to cart and someone clicks add to cart, then clicks view cart, the component loads outside the template with no formatting.

Hello Yukiko,

According to your description, the Theme settings are not applied to the assigned module component? Please describe the issue in detail and some screenshots would be helpful.

Thanks.
