Ask a Question

Hi!

So I see that nicepage has come up with a lot of new updates. It has been some time that I last used NicePage.

I know there is a WordPress Theme & Plugin, there is a Mac/Windows Builder and then there is an Online Builder. Which is the BEST way to build a site?

I eventually want my sites to be accessible on Wordpress?

Thanks

First, decide if you want to use Nicepage's host, or if you have your own.
If you have your own, download the Desktop version and try it out.
There's a 7 day trial which then reverts back to the Starter version.
That gives you time to try it out first.

Hi Merlin! Thanks for your reply. So I do have a paid Ultimate Edition. And I use my own hosting where I have installed Wordpress. What would you then suggest?

Hi Joshua,

You can start to build your site from the desktop application. create a theme and pages, export them to WP and then continue to edit the content on your live site using Nicepage plug-in. Note that the theme can be edited only in the desktop application so once you need to change it, you may edit the theme in your desktop app and export it again to WP site.

Maybe our tutorials will be helpful:

Hi Joshua,

It really boils down to preference.
I build my sites on the desktop app and then upload to my server after making a number of modifications as requested by my clients.
One thing I always change is the icons, such as Social Icons. I am not a fan of flaticon and the garbage it spills out so I remove it and use fontawesome instead. A lot cleaner.
So, it just boils down to what best suites you at the end of the day.
If you are designing Wordpress templates, probably be best to design on the desktop app and then upload to your hosting account to test it as local environments are usually a lot different when it comes to php etc.

Hi Dan,

Looks like you know quite a bit about NicePage. Could I take the freedom to ask you a few more questions...

  • How is the performance of sites built on the Nice Theme?
  • Could I use Astra Theme (https://wpastra.com/), known for its performance, etc,
and use the Nice Plugin to build pages, is there any disadvantages to this method?

Looking forward to your advice.

Thanks

Joshua

Hi Joshua,

You can use the external theme on your site and Nicepage plug-in to build the content. But please note that some conflicts in styling may arise, so it's always better to check it first. In any case you can always change the theme to the Nicepage theme.
