Ask a Question

On mobile view "Portrait Phones less than 576px" the Contact menu item shows correct position in the editor, but is way off on an actual device. moving it up and down barely makes it move if at all. https://www.majesticheartcarriage.com

I've included screenshots from inside my wordpress Edit with Nicepage screen and from my cell phone.

I'm not sure what to do to fix this.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi, Matthew,

Thanks for the provided screenshots!

Yes, we can see the issue on your live website. You can try to add the Grid Element to the Header and use two Menu elements. This should help to make a more "stable" layout. After doing this, please let us know about the result.

That just seems to push the Heart Graphic out of position and i can't seem to place that grid in mobile view only. I've tried using two Wordpress Menus, the right menu doesn't show and there doesn't seem to be a way to add a second wordpress menu on the right side except to do that i did and just place a couple of text links for Galleries and Contact.

Hi, Matthew,

You can try to use the single-cell Grid for the Galleries and Contact links separately.

Concerning the menu, when you add the second Menu Element in Nicepage, the new menu location is created. And you can add a menu to this location on the Appearance ==> Menus page.

Regarding your second suggestion, i did read all the threads i could find on Split Menus, i did put in two menu elements, selected the left and right menus in the correct sections which held the appropriate links but whatever menu i did last would be the one that shows up for both once published/previewed. which is why i switched to a text link menu on the right, but the problem i've found now is that on mobile devices only the wordpress menu shows up when you tap the three lines. which is why i am trying to get the two text links to line up in the grey menu bar. :-)

I will check the single cell grid, i hadn't through of that.

Hi, Matthew,

If you edit the Header in the Nicepage plugin, it will affect only Nicepage pages, not the Theme. In this case, try to add the second Menu Element in Nicepage Desktop. After adding, export your Theme with Content to WordPress, and install it there. After that, the second menu location will appear.

I built the entire thing in the wordpress plugin, how do I export it? I would need to export the entire theme to edit it since the desktop app doesn't have it correct?

Hi, Matthew,

If you designed and exported your Theme from Nicepage to WordPress, open your Project in Nicepage, add the second Menu Element, export your website to WordPress, and install the Theme. If it still doesn't suit you, you can use just the Link Element for those items. Don't forget to put these links into the Grid Element so they couldn't be shifted.

But I didn't, thats what I'm trying to say, I designed it in Wordpress first, using the Nicepage plugin. Can I download the theme files via ftp and load them into Nicepage desktop?

so really the only real option is to recreate it in nicepage desktop. good to know, i'll start all my sites in Desktop first from now on. i'll test the single cell grid next. thanks for walking me through this.
