Ask a Question

Hi,
I used Joomla Plugin to create a new website. Unfortunately, I can‘t get rid of the site title above the header image. Asking Mr. Google I found out that there should be an option to hide the title using dashboard. Trying to use dashboard, nicepage tells me, that I have to buy - there is no licence shown...
Could you please advise, what to do?
Many thanks in advance!
Best,
Catie

Hi Catie,

Could you please attach a screenshot showing what exactly you want to remove. If that is a part of the template, then you need to use the desktop application to edit the theme and export it.

Hi Hella,

Thank you for your response. I just installed the desktop app and now there is a new question: How do I import my website which was created with the Joomla plugin?
Attached please find a screenshot with the title of the website above the header graphic, which should be hidden. Also, the white space above the header should not be there.

Many thanks for your help,
Catie

Catie,

Can you please provide a link to your web page where there is such title. Because the screenshot doesn't make understandable what the title is.

How do I import my website which was created with the Joomla plugin?

Currently there is not way to import pages from your Joomla website into the Desktop App. But you can still continue to edit pages inside Joomla and edit the theme in Desktop App. And then just the re-upload only the theme.

Hi Eugene,

Thank you for your reply, which completely answered my question.
In the meantime, I found out that header and footer are part of the template, and sections are to be edited in the desktop app. I could adjust the headline of my website by trying around. The site is currently offline, because there is an existing one with the same content on another domain, which will be changed when the site is completely done.

Further, I noticed, that links to sections did not work in Joomla menu, I had to fill in the original section anchors from the desktop app. After my changes the links work. Did I make a mistake?

Kind regards,
Catie

Do you mean that you created a menu item in Nicepage Desktop and then exported theme and content to your Joomla and imported content with the menu but the links to sections are not working? Did you test them on the same page where the corresponding sections are located?
Please provide us with more details about the issue and explain exactly what you did in Section.

Hi Olivia,

You are right, I created a menu in the header which links to the different sections on the site. The section anchors were defined in the desktop app for Windows. After import of the content to Joomla, the menu did not work. The adresses of the links were all called incorrectly [post-NaN] and linked to an error message on the site. In Joomla I had to define the anchor (URL in Joomla) for each menu item like „#anchor-as-given-in-nicepage-desktop-app“. I looked them up, entered the codes and then it worked.
The site is currently offline, has only one article (created with Nicepage) and the menu items only link to the sections. Sorry, if I could not explain better, it´s a bit difficult 😔
If you need to have a closer look, I would prefer to give you private access.

Kind regards,
Catie

Hi Catie,

Sorry for the delay in replying. Could you please install the latest version of the Joomla plug-in on your site and then try to import the content again. Let me know if the issue persists. In this case attach your exported theme.
