Thank you for the prompt reply. After a panic about what was going on, a reboot seemed to sort the problem out although I lost several pages and had to rebuild and re-link them.
What I tried to do was move the files from online storage to a network server I have here in the office. To be frank, I have struggled with the whole setup of how the program saves and backups files. I'm sure it makes sense to people in your office but my goodness it takes a lot of getting your head around. It's just not intuitive because of the use of numbers rather than file names.

But what about the "autosave" option? was it switched off? Maybe you could remember your previous actions before the error appears?

It is not so much the interface that I find non-intuitive it's the file structure that baffles me. I have attached two screenshots. One of a selection of some of the sites I'm working on and the second of the corresponding files. My issue is what file belongs to which site. I'm presuming each of the numbered files belongs to one of the sites that I've put together. At the very least the names of the files should correspond with the name of the site and then at least I know where to start.
I also have to work remotely and other than exporting a project at whatever stage it is at and then importing it again on my laptop I've been unable to find a way to synchronize up the websites on my office and mobile computers.
