Ask a Question

Hello,

i have a question for following example:

  1. I edit a page complete in desktop application. (No changes at Blog/Post/Product)
  2. I load it up do wordpress and do the final maintain online in the plugin.

Question: Is it possible to change the Blog/Post/Product after i uploaded and edited in wordpress plugin?
Will my webside crash or will i loose information when i upload theme again with updated Blog/Post/Product template?

It would be nice if we could upload only changed Blog/Post/Cart Pages.

Greetings
Daniel

Hi, Daniel,

Unfortunately, it is impossible to export pages and templates from WordPress back to Nicepage. The Blog Template cannot be edited on WordPress. Only Header and Footer can be changed there (on the plugin). If you need to edit the Blog Template, you should do it on Nicepage Desktop, and export it to WordPress again. If you need to edit your Content (pages), you can easily do it with our plugin.

Ok, stop. I understand.

I MUST use the Desktop-Project which i used for this site to export the theme.

I used another project.

What if i use wordpress plugin only and i want to change the blog template? Can i load it into a desktop project?

I understand what you mean, but when i do this, i crash parts of my site as i thought.

I uploaded theme only.

Look at page: "https://die-partei-hattingen.de/2021/06/21/platanen-statt-planieren/". Header and footer are gone when i use the uploaded theme. Main page is correct. Maybe I misunderstood something.

Can you help me out?

Hi, Daniel,

Blog, Post, and Product Templates can be edited only on Nicepage Desktop. So, if you want to edit the design of these Templates, you should do it on Nicepage Desktop, export it to your WordPress as a Theme, and install a new Theme there. Your Content won't be changed if you install only the Theme. This article may be helpful for you: https://nicepage.com/doc/67768/export-and-update-of-wp-theme-from-app
