Website not showing up correctly

I have had this website posted for a little over a year. I noticed in the last month the website has changed. When I type in the domain, the first page that shows up is a blog page. I have no idea where this came from. I have tried to publish the website several times and the blog page is not going away. I have attached a picture of the blog page.

How can I get my website to show up correctly without the blog page?

Hi Steve,

Please open WP >> Settings >> Reading.
In the Your homepage displays option, choose the desired page as a Home page

Can I ask if there is a reason that this setting changes every time a theme is applied? Is there a way to automate making this change when activating a nicepage theme? I'm selecting the override existing content

Please clarify are you talking only about chances that apply to your home display option or any other options changes after overriding the existing content?
