How do I upload website properly

This has been the most frustrating experience ever.

I have built a website with the desktop app and I can not upload it properly. When I go with the zip.file route then upload errors happen, menus are missing e.t.c.

When I try to use the built in FTP tool nothing happens.

When I use the save to my pc method and then try to upload with filezzila I lose the entire website. Wordpress reverts to Hello World version.

Is there a simple way to upload a website built with the desktop app with no errors;

Thanks Remco, I ended up using the html version with ftp upload to get the website running. I uploaded the files directly to the ftp folder.

I will try the WordPress upload later.

For FTP, you have to have a ftp user that has acces on public_html... if you have a user that is in the root, the upload wil be at the root!... Than you can/have to move it (the files).

But when using WordPress, export in Nicepage as a WordPress template and use WordPress upload functionality, and do not forget to actived the template in WordPress.
