You can supposedly use the last version released before it expires forever. If you want the updates for the next year you have to pay for it.

is in it free to download anyway

If you have the licensed version, the last version before your year is up you can keep using.
The free version is limited. Check the grid on the Premium page.

so once the year finishes can i still use all the grids etc and white label

Once the year finishes you will be able to use ALL Premium Features of your current version of Nicepage.

But please be aware that new types of Pages and Block designs that will be developed and added in the NEW Nicepage versions will be impossible to use with the previous version of Nicepage.
Also, the possibility to add new Pictures from the Nicepage library will be available. You can use only previously added Pictures in your Projects.

But if you will Update your Nicepage version only Free Starter Plan will be enabled for you.
