If you will get annual subscription for one of the Premium Plan in Online Builder and Hosting + Desktop with plugins, then you can:
To create websites Online and use our Hosting during the whole year (after that you will be required to extend subscription, otherwise the hosting will be stopped and your website won't be available for the public). Also you can create websites during the whole year and export it into HTML and use Hosting with whoever you want.
If you will get one of the Premium Plan (Lifetime License) from Desktop App then you can use Desktop App, create websites and use third-party Hosting.

I do understand that if I subscribe for an annual Premium Plan plus Hosting that the website will go down if the subscription is not renewed.
My concern is if I subscribe to a Premium Plan with my own hosting. For example, if I were to export the website created with NicePage to HTML and then host on my own server and NicePage were to go offline, would my website be active?
It seems that there is code in the html that connects back to NicePage in order for the website to operate. Is this true?
Another scenario would be if NicePage were to no longer exist, would the website be able to continue to be active on my own server?

Yes, you can host the site on your own hosting as long as you wish. As for the form submissions, if you are using the Email form submit option, it uses Nicepage form processor and Nicepage servers for the submissions. In this case you need to have an active license plan to use the form submission limits of that plan. With the expired license only 50 submissions per year are allowed. You can always use any other form submission option that is not related to Nicepage servers and it will work without active subscription.
