When I am trying to export to WordPress, I get an error message that says file is over 7MB. My hosting provider has changed it to 256M, so that should be taken care of. It still just uploads a blank template that only says "hello world".

It's a standard warning. Click OK and continue exporting.
Have you followed the steps described at https://nicepage.com/doc/66707/installation-of-wordpress-theme-and-pages?
