Mobile version loading very slow

Hi,

The mobile version of my site is very slow, especially the photos.The first image loads reasonably quickly, but to scroll down, even after 10 seconds, the images and sometimes text doesn't show up. I have tested this on numerous phones :(

https://lyndajchan.com/ is my site. Tested on usual browser (chrome) and Google Search, as well as incognito. Images are all low resolution. Please advise.

Is this website slow on your PC or laptop? I have tested your website on my phone (Android, Google Chrome), and everything has been OK with the image loading. Please make sure that you have a stable Internet connection. Could you please check the speed of your Internet and send us the results? You can measure it here: https://fast.com/.

Hi Paul,

Thanks for your reply! It was on my phone that it was so slow, and that took me by surprise. PC and laptop had both seemed fine. I had been away from my house when I was checking my website for another reason. Other websites were loading very quickly, but not mine! Since more and more people are using mobile for searches, that was potentially a problem. My internet speed at the studio is 450Mbps.

Lynda,

Try enabling the Lite Mode on your Google Chrome. For doing this, tap on the menu, select the Settings menu and scroll until you see the Lite Mode. Open it, and turn it on. It may reduce the number of images on your website, but this mode can make your website faster.

Hi Paul,

That could be it--I am not using Chrome on my mobile, and it was with cellular data rather than WIFI connection when it was so scarily slow. Most folks, of course, are using Chrome, and probably Lite Mode, too, so I should be alright.
