I have added the email id to assign a licence, I registered using the respective email, it's not allowing me to, as I have to verify the email and did not receive the verification email. I tried it few times and I am reporting now

Hi Vikram,

Are you talking about the Client License? Please make sure that you are using the plug-in on the WP or Joomla site as client licenses do not include working with the desktop application.
