But the nicepage.io one is, and it is moving up in rank in Google. But I want my custom one to do that--but it's still not even showing up! What do I need to do? Even the images are from the nicepage.io, but they have been tagged for quite some time previously.

Thank you,
Lynda

Hi Lynda,

Thanks for contacting us.

Kindly search for the articles that can increase your SEO and ranking. And take note that Search Engine Optimization is a long process and takes time.
We would advise you to focus more on content and value for the visitors. Choose some specific keywords that resonate with your niche and make content upon this.

Hi Ahmad,

Thank you for your reply. I do understand it takes time, and I have researched and implemented several things. What I did not realize is that when I switched from Squarespace to Nicepage, is that my ranking would plunge (actually disappear!) like that. However, as I have noted, I do see it rising in some key word searches. Problem 1: I will continue to work on this, but I had wanted to understand why the severe drop when I switched.

My other concern (Problem 2) that I have raised a few times in other posts, and now directly, has not been answered. I am asking why does the lyndajchan.nicepage.io version show up in search, but not my custom version, lyndajchan.com?

Let me repeat--I really liked worked with Nicepage to build my site, and I love how it looks. And I understand that SEO takes time and effort, on my part. But I am looking for answers to understand the two problems above. And I really want the nicepage.io version of my site showing up to be resolved. I don't think that's an SEO issue. If it is a hosting issue, I need to know, and how to resolve it ASAP.

Thank you so much. I appreciate your help.

Hi, chesswizardextra2, and thank you! I have outlined my two problems perhaps a little more clearly in my reply to Ahmed. If you have any insight into what's going on, I would very much appreciate it. I have a Nicepage site, and it is hosted on Nicepage as well.

Thank you :)

Day-by-day it becomes difficult to be in the pipeline with the Google Algorithms. So that's why we can't answer you directly why it's happened. It could be many reasons and requires further investigation.
We would advise you to use third-party services for SEO analysis and comparing the websites.
Did you manage to use our SEO TAB in Site Settings and Page Settings? Did you fill up everything? Start from this for example...
Focus more on content and linking of the content inside of your website, check your meta description. Also, please pay attention to the canonical link. It should point to the site.com instead of the site.nicepage.io.

Hi Ahmad,

Thank you for the reply, and this is helpful. I have already filled out SEO tabs, and I can add more or refine. I did add the canonical link. I have lots of meta in my content, and continue to adjust it. I do use third party services for analysis as well.

I do want you to know that I have been doing work on all these, which is part of my frustration. I know there are lots of challenges on your end as well. I hope you will continue to grow and make your product even better.

Thank you,
Lynda
