complete nicepage folders vanished

hi,
had four sites created the last weeks. they were stored in the assigned nicepage folder. today worked on an project, nicepage collapsed, and after re-opening an error message said "unable to load page". after looking in the nicepage folder i saw, that all site folders were gone. only one was still exists, but with only content, i created since the few hours. fortunately i could restore all folders through time machine backup.
do you know this problem? this is very dangerous

Thank you for sharing more details regarding this issue. I would like to ask for more information to get a clear picture of this issue.

  1. Did you save your projects on an external hard drive or locally? We mean what folder is specified as the projects folder under the Preferences > Project folder.
  2. Do you mean that exactly this folder specified as projects folder was almost empty after the application crash?

Sorry for the late feedback. I remember, that first the macOS14 enforces a restart of the mac (due to a problem (?)). After rerstart, apps automatically open again and it looks like nothing had happened. i continued work on two websites and after about 2 hours nicepage suddenly shut down. Opened it again and then the error message was shown. And in the nicepage folder only the last edited content of this two projects were there, but no images etc. The older project folders were completely deleted.

Hi,

The forced restart can be caused by lots of things related to both software and hardware components. For example, HD problems may cause forced computer restart and loss of some data. It is possible to restore the data with the Time Machine, for example?
We also recommend that you export websites as Projects to make a backup.
