Report a bug

Hello Olga, since recent updates in 2021, NicePage is now running very slowly. Whenever you're editing, there's a 2-5 second delay. This is causing a major headache.

I have discussed with other friends whom also use NicePage and they are all having the same issues. The site I'm creating is not big, does not use large images. This is a program error / bug.

Can you please fix with an update?

We can recommend the following:
1) Disable all antiviruses and firewalls;
2) Disable browser plugins;

Are you serious? Disabling antivirus and firewall is your suggestion to properly work with Nicepage? As a system administrator, all alarm bells are now ringing for me.

3) Disconnect Internet
4) Uninstall Nicepage

Will be helpful too )))

If serious... Why Nicepage not convert big images to previews in editor mode (backend)? Can it automatically resize and optimize images in frontend (for example convert to webp to reduce size and increase SEO rank)?

Seems that Nicepage not for big projects, it's a toy to play around. [Themler][1] much better, but too old.

[1]: https://themler.io/

Last year there was a request regarding image sizes in the following post as well -> https://nicepage.com/questions/149055/request-native-image-optimization.
Maybe this could improve the backend but definitively the frontend performance as well.

So, to be honest, Nicepage made my life easier but there still have to be some improvements regarding the performance. Maybe the developers could be more focused to this matter instead of adding this whole scroll and hover animated blinking stuff.

Hi, I am having the same problems regarding the very low speed and response, sometimes, most, it takes up to 20 seconds or more, to simply response to any selection and or change in the application ( click ).

Since support said it could be the machine were you are running it, I decided to try other Mac´s, and the same problem.

Now, I am using a Mac Book Pro with M1 MAX, 64 GB RAM, and Nicepage alone, nothing else running, and the problem is the same, same low speed, same lack of response, same situation, so, definitly it is not the machine, it is the application.

We need a solution ASAP, working with Nicepage has become impossible, a simply scroll, takes over 20 to 30 seconds to starts, and then it goes to were it wants, and stops were it wants, not were you selected / expected.

You need to key 2 or 3 times the same value to get a response and make a change.

It is a nightmare.

In the meantime, what are the options / alternatives to Nicepage ?

Based on the current situation, I can´t finish the webpage with Nicepage, it will take me around x30 more time that it will usually need, plus the errors it generates.

Additionally, I found very basic errors in Nicepage that are also unaceptable, for example, you define a text inside a box ( something very basic ), you verify it, it is fine, and then you go to the next size / resolution to do the same, and so one, for every possibility there is, and once you think you are done, you discover that the modifications done in one size / resolution, also changes the others, so you enter in an infinite loop traying to solve it, and it never gets good.

In the event, that after one day fighting with this matter, you think you are done, you close the application, start next day, and surprise, the application have changed it again, without you doing anything. It happens also, if you leave that current page, go the another, do some work, and goes back to the previous one, the application has done modifications on his own.

Also, if you put a SVG inside a box, for rows / columns, using a template, it works fine, initially, but one day, without any modification to the design, in one screen size / resolution, the SVG are moved, without any explanation.

Themler is more advanced tool for template creating, it have a lot of features and posibilities that Nicepage don't... But Themler not good for content creating, but you can use 3rd party page builder, for example SP Page Builder.

So, good combination is: Themler + Joomla + SP Page Builder 3 (SP Page Builder 4 already in Alpha).

All we ask for Themler 2.0 with Bootstrap 5 and support only two CMS: Joomla 4 and WordPress 5 - you can vote too.

Hi Benjamin,

Does the issue on both Desktop app and Nicepage Online builder?
Could you please provide an example project with the issue? Also, please open the system Task Manager on the Processes tab side by side with Nicepage and second CPU usage at the moment when the issue happens. It looks like it is not enough CPU time; as a result, the browser inside the application cannot rebuild DOM fast.
Did you encounter performance problems with any other applications on this computer?
Could you please provide device specification ( Windows Settings >> About)

Vitaliy WD,

We are glad that you pay so much attention to the Nicepage application and the community though you're not using Nicepage for quite a long time.

pacificstorm1,

We usually ask for disabling antivirus for testing to discover whether it causes the issue or not. Sometimes it does.

Thank you for reply, Olivia. It's true. My primary task is tell about Themler - that is your more advanced and professional tool for template building. And I try to do it in cases where Nicepage don't have solution or feature (for example, multilanguage).

In many EU countries multilanguage is a must have feature for every site.

I just installed Nicepage 4.4 to see what's new in practice. No big changes at first look, but UI looks fresh and great. But problems the same from version 1.0... I can't even round submenu border - it's strange that even for main menu I can do it (looks strange rounded main menu and not rounded submenu at the same time, but it's important as this is latest mainstream in Fluent design language). I can round Cell in Grid but can't round whole Grid itself (ok, a workaround is to round first and last cell borders from left and right). If I need to align smth verticaly then I need to do it after every change (if I change height of menu, I need to set align again etc.).

Nicepage definitely not for Designers or not for Developers that have design from Designer. As Designer you can't realize your ideas as you limited with tools. And if you are Developer that have PSD layout, you can't be sure that you can make all the same (not pixel perfect... just the same).

And still bugs right from the start... if I switch to preview mode, the strange behavior with first letter in text:

enter image description here

So nothing changes dramatically since version 1.0. Nicepage still as Paint against Photoshop if compared with Themler.

Sorry for little offtop.

Back to App speed. Is it now based on Vue.js (you planned to do it a time ago)?

Once more thank you for reply Olivia, you are the best support (helped a lot in many cases, even if problems not related directly to software)! We miss you at Themler :)

Hi Olivia,
I made a screen video (in the audio you'll hear the typing...) shure...that fast typing ist not normal, but also when typing fast to add text, then click on another textbox in order to add text takes a lot time...and i wanted to make a "stress test" for cpu...
cpu goes max 60% as i can see.
I tried several other apps...WYSIWYG Webbuilder, openelement, magic webcreator, coffecup...no app has that performance issue......
I am no html coder / webdesigner expert - just "beginner/advanced" user - so this is why I need a "wysiwyg-editor" - which from layout and usability definitely nicepage is the best app in my opinion...but this performance issue...
Here is my config: CPU Intel core i5, 2400s 4C, 2.5Ghz. 12 GB Ram, Nvidia GT 1030 graphics card... Samsung 840 pro SSD.
Best regards,
Benjamin

Yes. Nicepage is based on Vue.js now.

Please provide the project with the misalignment issue in a separate private case.

Same issue here. I can not work at all with the desktop version anymore.
Before I updated it to version 4. it worked ok.
Now I have an incredible delay!
Even if I zoom or drag objects in different positions it needs 2-3 seconds to refresh.
This is far from flawless.
Everything is deactivated (anti-virus & firewall) - CPU 10% RAM 26%
SO this is definitely a bug in the last updates folks.

Dear Nicepage,

I recently bought the Premium version and to be honest, I quite regret it. The lagging during the editing is just horrible (and it is only a small webpage). The advice to turn off antivirus and browser pluggin is not solution and doesn't work at all! I have 20 Gb of RAM btw. It would be so usefull software, but until this problem is not solved, I strongly wuldn't recomend it to anyone. BR Martin

HORRIBLE slow! Nicepage should be used for simplicity "drag&drop" website builder but is so horrible slow that even this product have many options they are not worth a penny becouse the main purpose is lost.. and that is efficency. And all that silly things like turning antivirus off, programs, extensions etc etc makes things even more complicated .

How to Speed up NicePage

Step 1: Disconnect from the internet while in use

Step 2: In page setting turn of Show Header and Footer while editing the page (Avoid unnecessary rendering)

Step 3 (Advanced Users Only): Use Dataram RAMDISK. Download and install Dataram RAMDISK, Open and "Start RAMDISK". Go to NicePage Installation and copy the files to RAMDISK drive in "My Computer". Find the project files and do the same, Afterwards launch NicePages from RAMDISK and go to preferences, change the "Project Folder" to the RAMDISK drive and click done.

Now their should be little to no lag
