Ask a Question

Hi I recently completed a site and when viewing on a mobile, I have received quite a few reports that the vie can be scrolled almost half a page left to right.

Is this caused by an adjustment I could have made?

Check if nothing is outside the grid, if by example the text area ( which is often bigger then the text itself) is outside the grid you get a horizontal scrollbar.
See attached image, around the area that's to big and causing your problem i placed a red rectangle.
So make the area smaller.

Thanks, I took a look through all pages but can't find any overlaps.

It appears to be on just your home page. The other pages don't show that gap If you have plugins you might try to turn those off. If you can figure out what is different about your homepage and the rest of your pages you might be able to figure it out.

Thanks, that was helpful as I was able to narrow it down to a single section through trial and error by hiding each section one by one, however its a simple text section and I cannot see any overlap. but I feel close as I have narrowed it down.

Try checking "Welcome to the Fleece Bar and Kitchen" section (sec-eced) I deleted the sections one by one and this corrected the scroll bar issue. Also in nicepage make sure you have the phone portrait mode selected to see if it is off-canvas. Hope it helps.

I had the same problem and discovered after a long search and try out that I did not switch off the indicators of the slider on my homepage and that caused the trouble. The indicators did not follow the responsive mode and were on the right side (outside the area). Maybe this helps.

The slider indicators are limited to 1 line alone. If it is too long it makes a bug on the smartphone.
To cancel the slider is the only solution?
