Ask a Question

I have added social links for phone and email (both in the header and footer). The links are properly defined, but when I click on either the email or phone link, the browser attempts to access the "about:config" page. I cannot seem to find a way around this problem. Please help.

Hi,

I see that links work ok in Desktop preview but broken after the exporting. I've asked our developers to investigate this issue.
We'll let you know when we receive any news from them.

I started this ticket as a public ticket. Now that you want my project, I think I need to send a new PRIVATE ticket so I can attach the project.

However, I will attach a screen shot (phone1.png) that shows that when hovering over the PHONE icon in the header, I see the URL "https://jem-software.com/weeds/" in the browser status bar, instead of "tel:+15197360420" which is what I would expect to see.

Symptoms have changed since I initially reported the issue (may or may not be related to applying the latest Nicepage update). Moving the social icon does NOT change the behavior - it still shows the wrong URL in the status bar area (phone2.png).

The third image shows the definition of the social icon within Nicepage, where it is clear that the URL is properly defined (phone3.png). Finally, the image of the FOOTER (phone4.png) shows both the phone and mail icon properly set up, yet when trying to access either of these URLs, again, the status bar in the browser shows "https://jem-software.com/weeds/" instead of the phone number or email address.

Hi Jack,

I do not see this issue on my end. Could you please attach the theme that has the problem exported as a Project. Also provide the detailed instruction on how to reproduce the problem.

I created a fresh project, with nothing but a "stock header" (i.e. a header chosen from the list of available headers). When using that stock header (or footer - same problem with both), the FIRST SOCIAL ICON in the list did not have an active link (hovering over the social icon did NOT display the "hand"). If I switched position of the social icons by dragging and dropping, whichever icon was in the "top" position in the order could not be activated. So, it's not related to a specific CLASS of icon, but rather a specific POSITION within the list.

I don't know how reproducible this is in a general case, but I did see it on two separate projects.
