Hello I would like to report a couple of bugs that exist in Nicepage. When it comes to WCAG https://ec.europa.eu/digital-single-market/en/web-accessibility Nicepage is already doing a nice job, however there are a couple of bugs, please consider fixing those in the near future:
Bugs
- ability to select menu items with a keyboard, it's a must have option to be fully accesible https://www.w3.org/TR/wai-aria-practices-1.1/examples/menubar/menubar-1/menubar-1.html
- can't set alternative descriptions to "logos" (vector images), we should be able to put ALT all over the place
- images, logos and icons can't be selected with a keyboard, the selected items should have a focused style (frame or color)
- content like this https://imgur.com/Tqs0nsS should be coded as list (ul) and shouldn't use headers at all - this way if a disabled person is using a reader it reads out the contents as a list
- a couple of small but meaningful errors could interfere with readers for disabled people, those are mostly small minor fixes to the code, for example: https://validator.w3.org/nu/?doc=https%3A%2F%2Fpasific.pan.pl%2Fpeople%2Fpasific-navigators%2F
- Unclosed element div
- Property list-icon-spacing doesn't exist.
- Property list-icon-size doesn't exist.
- CSS: font-weight: false is not a font-weight value.
- No space between attributes. At line 2518, column 97 u-stick-footer style div
- The output code is nearly perfect but those small errors are annoying
Suggestions
- please integrate a wcag contrast checker so that when you set a bunch of colors in theme's css settings we would get a notification that some of the colors aren't properly contrasted https://webaim.org/resources/contrastchecker/
All governmental websites need to follow the WCAG rules strictly, this applies to the entire European Union.
