Hi Randy,

Please provide a bit more details. You are using the shop component on your site? If you are using WooCommerce or VirtueMart, you can create a static page from your shop products. In other case you can use your shop component to create the products page with the sale items.

Thank you for your answer. I think I know what I have to do now. Here are the details as I understand them:

1) I want to sell some products on my site, and I want to feature about 4 of them on the home page.
2) I will need to install WooCommerce or Virtuemart on my site and create the products and pages for the site within the software.
3) Then I will also add the product images to the home page and link them to the item pages I have created so the buyer can go to the cart page to buy and complete the purchase.

Does that sound about right to you?

Am I really limited to WooCommerce and Virtuemart, or can I use other shopping solutions as well if I want to?

Hi,

If you want to use Woocommerce or VM please try the following steps:

  1. install shop plugin
  2. create products
  3. create a new page with Nicepage and use the Woo or VM products as the source for the page. Then you can select the desired style of the new page, add or remove extra settings, adjust the style of the product controls, etc.

As an alternative, you can create any page where you will add a position for CMS modules or widgets or use Shortcode controls for shortcodes that display the products. Just like with any other theme.

The solution with shortcodes and CMS widgets should work with any webshop plugin/component.
