Nicepage won't let me select Blog pagination from elements. Says I need desktop version. That's what I'm using

Ask a Question

I've been using Nicepage until now only for HTML sites. Today, I started working on my first WordPress theme and was quite happy with my progress. There were only two issues I had. First, Nicepage seems to be offering up a less-than-perfect version of my blog page when the blog option is selected. My header area seems all messed up, yet when I examine the header in Nicepage, it looks perfect.

Second, there is supposed to be a "pagination" element that I can use to find additional posts, but when I try to select the element, it tells me I need the desktop version of Nicepage. That's what I'm using! I've seen certain features that are restricted to PRO or ULTIMATE versions, but the "crown" symbol doesn't appear on this element, so I'm a bit confused. I have the BUSINESS edition.

Jack,

Unfortunately Wordpress doesn't allow to use Blog Template on any page.
But our developers will add a Pagination option for Blog Element that you can add to regular page in one of upcoming updates, possible in Nicepage 3.7 version.

Thank you. I'll check out the blog template.

I looked at my Blog Template, and it looks perfect (already includes the pagination element). What do I need to do (either within Nicepage or WordPress) to get that Blog Template to be used for my "Blog" page, because when I select my page named "Blog" as the page on which to display posts, the template doesn't seem to have any effect - the page is incorrectly displayed.

Hi Jack,

As I see on your screenshots, you are trying to add Pagination in the Page with the Blog Element. Pagination is available for the Blog Template only.

The problem I am having is during the design of the theme (on my desktop) and it comes before I even install on the WordPress site.

I've attached two screen shots to illustrate the problem.
