Report a bug

This is a really bad bug, which breaks my older templates and pages. Older versions of Nicepage allowed us to create text hyperlinks, which is one of the most basic things one should be able to do with an HTML editor.

For 2021, please, please, please STOP adding all the "cool and funky" new features that we do NOT want, and fix the basic stuff that everyone needs and wants.

Everyone wants and NEEDS to be able to create text links. We don't always need buttons. Yes buttons are cool. But text links are the most basic need of very website for improving SEO, etc.

See example ixp2.com - acknowledgements near bottom of page -- that was created with earlier version of NicePage. Tried to update with more links and had to delete the new section because NP tried to force all new links to be buttons.

Hi,

You still can create text links. Now Nicepage uses Button control for styling. But the text link/button is still an HTML link. Nothing is changed.

Olivia @ Nicepage:

Can you please provide some examples or tutorial on how that works?

Thanks for your quick reply.

Better yet... Since many people are complaining about this -- Please provide written instructions on how to do it with some screen shots AND even better - please create a YouTube video tutorial that shows how to create inline text hyperlinks -- "by restyling the buttons" -- or whatever you call it.

Looks like possibly version 3.3.7 may have fixed this problem / bug.

THANK-YOU.

The ability to add links to text is the most basic need (dare I say MOST IMPORTANT) for any HTML document. Please remember this.

I will let you know if this bug pops up again in a future release. Please remind your developers to run every release through multiple regressions tests.

What is Regression Testing?
REGRESSION TESTING is defined as a type of software testing to confirm that a recent program or code change has not adversely affected existing features.

Regression Testing is nothing but a full or partial selection of already executed test cases which are re-executed to ensure existing functionalities work fine.

This testing is done to make sure that new code changes should not have side effects on the existing functionalities. It ensures that the old code still works once the latest code changes are done.
