Ask a Question

I built a site with 8 pages. 3 of the pages have 2 or more words in the title. When I exported the site to html and then sent the files to my hosting company, one of the menu links didn't work. It appears that the html link for one of the menu items was looking for an underscore between the words instead of a hyphen. The menu item was looking for a link with hyphens, not underscores. What's most curious is that the pages with 2 words separated by hyphens worked just fine. The one with 4 words separated by hyphens did not work because the menu link was looking for underscored separations. Is this a known bug, or did I do something wrong?

I built all the page names the same way, with an underscore between words. They all come up with dashes on the hosting server. Only one of the pages won't work. It shows the url with dashes. The link on one tab is looking for a page with underscores. I had my hosting company do a workaround and copy the html file and css file so that it uses underscores between words. This worked, but I'm concerned in the event I ever have to update the page.

Hi,

Nicepage uses page Name (Page tab) for the page filename and page URL. I recommend that you change the page title to page-name or page_name and add new menu items for this page. Please note that you can set different menu item title and the page title if needed. This should solve the issue.
