I have to agree with billups. Unfortunately, uninstalling via Manage => Manage => Check Nicepage and uninstall also destroyed my entire website. Unfortunately I can't even open anything in the backed anymore. So also the change to another template is not possible.

If you don't have a bakcup here, you won't keep Nicepage in a good memory.

I am planning on fully unistalling nicepage next week and so glad I read this.
Thank you to billups and konkat27 for the kind warning and knowledge here.
I was going to do the usual manage>>Manage>>Uninstall as is safe with other joomla extensions and cannot afford leaving nicepage to crash my live site in any way.
Please can Nicepage provide fully documented and tested instructions that are safe to follow and for our sites.
A lot of work has gone in to them and we should be OK to leave Nicepage without the worry of this decision wrecking all the effort and our web presence for our important visitors.
I'm terrified after reading this but glad I did.
If choosing to stop using Nicepage I don't want to have leftovers of it in my website that I need to carry around and not update.
Are there any tables in the host database that need deleting too?

Also looking for instructions as to how to uninstall in Joomla. I just tried and now my entire site won't load.

Please let me know what exactly you have done? Maybe you have removed some vital options. Also note that Niceage content does not work without Nicepage plug-in.
To check your issue further please create a separate topic with the link to your site and the exact explanation of your problem.
