Report a bug

Hi,
the exported site using "export->project" create a file named "sitename.zip" (where "sitename" is the name of generated site) , while the same site exported using "export->html" and the checkbox "include nicepage project" is checked creates a file named "project.zip".
I've not tested the other export options.
Paolo

Hi Paolo,

Unfortunately, your question is not quite clear to me. You can set the desired filename for the exported website. When the "include nicepage project" is enabled, Nicepage adds the Nicepage project to the exported archive. This project is named "project.zip" by default.

You say correct, I find this double possibility a little confuse, why export by default as "project.zip" and ask for a filename in export->project? Perhaps it will be more confortable set all these preferences by default as site name.
EG: in project folder we set the project name; it's more readable export by default the project with this project name, and to use the same name to naming the project folder (why this should be set to a incomprehensible name site_nnnnnnnnn ?)

Hi,

The Export >> Project is a separate export option as well as HTML or CMS exports where you can set the export filename. You can export the same Project with different filenames. But the "include nicepage project" option is an export parameter just like "include Product Templates".

Hi,

This naming is used by the Nicepage app only. Each project should have a different name, Therefore we use unique identifiers to avoid any possible problems. You can set the desired Sitename for the dashboard under the Site Settings.

No, I can set the project folder name, so I espect that siteName will be a new folder nested in the project folder, but this doesn't happen because NicePage create a folder named site_nnnnnnnnn.
In case of one or two sites this won't be a problem but creating a lot of sites I'm not able to recognize the folder where I need to copy to images and other elements.
This is a huge problem because need to waste a lot of time.

Paolo,

You can export your Projects with the names you need, which is even good for the backup.
