Ask a Question

Good day and Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas

Please tell me why in my WordPress dashboard why editing on one page also appears on a a different page. Attached is screen shots of what I am asking in a test run of editing discrepancies I've had before.

Pages 45 has the eagle logo before the creation of Page 46. BTW: when I added Page 46, the same header/logo from Page 45 appeared. On Page 46 I deleted the eagle logo and published it. This removed the eagle logo from Page 45. Why? Why does the editing of one page effect another page the same way? Why can't Page 46 be edited and Page 45 be untouched.

Thank you for your help.

Gratefully,
John

The header and therefore the logo is a site-wide part of the theme. So, when you edit the header on a page within WP, you edit the header of the theme.
If you wish to have a seperate header, choose "Hide header "on that page and create a new "header" block only for that page.
