The project.zip file is your backup in case you need to reimport it back into the program.
Make sure you put it in a safe place. Don't lose it.
I always also create the project file and upload it to the host when I update the site so I have a backup.
If you already have a host:
export the site as html to your desktop.
Then use a program like FileZilla to connect to your host and upload the html files to the host.
It's typically the public_html folder on the host, but it might be different for your host.
