Ask a Question

My pages in the Nicepage app are named "Home", "Media", "Contact" etc. but when I export my website to WordPress it changes the page url and now instead of "website.com/home.html" I get "website.com/?page_id=216".
I never had to fix this before now. What is going wrong?

Paul,

The URLs depend on your WP settings. Please check how your WordPress forms the links to pages in the Settings.

Paul,

We can't fix it without access to your website. And it is not quite Nicepage's problem. You can provide temporary access to your website's admin, and we can have a look at your settings.

This thread is private now.

Hi, yes I fixed this problem.
In Wordpress I had the wrong settings for my permalinks.

Go to Settings - Permalinks
There you will see some options:
- Plain
- Day and name
- Month and name
- Numeric
- Post name
- Custom Structure

I had "Plain" and I changed it to "Post Name"
That fixed it for me, hope it helps you too.
