Konstantinos,

For now, you can not select what templates to export. However, you can export content, use any other theme, and use the Nicepage Plugin to edit pages made with Nicepage. However, please note that pages might look differently in the Editor and during the live preview.

Hello Allen,

As the post-templates are part of the theme and not a simple page, can I really edit them just with the plug in?

Bests,

Hi Konstantinos,

No, the theme should be edited with the desktop application and exported as a theme.

Hi Support team,

Im sad to say that you still havent answer my original question. I am going to give further explanation, with hopes of a clear answer.

I have created a theme for a wordpress site using the nicepage desktop application. The site will consist of pages that are informational, and thus can be created with nicepage, and others that are going to be generated by woocomerce (shop page, product page, cart and checkout). Those pages will be based on the theme created with nicepage. That work ok so far.

In order for the site to be more efficient, the client requested a search function, that will browse through the products and the informational pages. That is implemented and the functionality of the search works. Now the problem that I am facing:

Based on the code more specific the search.php file, nicepage uses 5 different template files (template-parts/post-contetnt(1-5).php , content-none.php) to present the results. Woocommerce provides also similar templetes in order to present the results of the search. The client wants to use the woocommerce template as it is more functional, user friendly and presents the exact information that the user needs to know for the products.

How can I use the woocommerce template and not the one from nicepage, in order to present the result of the search?

Hope for a quick and informative answer.

Best,
Konstantinos

Konstantinos,

Firstly, with the Personal Edition, you can't have the Products templates, and by default, you should not be able to export those. That means that WooCommerce templates will be the default ones by WooCommerce.

Hi Allen,

I dont know if you are joking, or you havent read my question at all. Either way. My problem is NOT with the products templates BUT with the POST TEMPLATES.

I am going to copy my question here again in order to help solve my problem. The question was posted on 3.12.2020 :

Konstantinos,

You can use any templates that are not from Nicepage. The only note that to have the proper layouts on the pages created with Nicepage, you need to use the Nicepage Header and Footer on those pages, which you can select in the Page details.

Please keep your questions short.

Allen,

Although my long question, and all the needed Information that I have given you, you still havent answer my question.

If you read my "long" question you can see in the first paragraph and I quote " Those pages will use ONLY the header and the footer of the theme created with nicepage. That works ok so far." So yes! I know that the pages will use the themes Header and Footer creared with nicepage.

Whenever a client asks a HOW question expects details, step by step, on how to solve a problem. For instace:

HOW can I use templates that are not from Nicepage in order to present the search results aka overide the post Templates?

Excuse my nerves but its been almost two weeks since the original question and you still havent answered my question, ans as you Im guessing Im working on a deadline.

Im sorry to say but nicepage support is not really supportive. Hoppe this time nicepage will prove me wrong and the HOW question will be answered.

Konstantinos,

Unfortunately, we do not know HOW to use other templates since we are supporting Nicepage issues, so if you have problems with any installed theme and Nicepage, please create a case about it.

We are unable to forecast problems until we see them.

As about using Nicepage's Header and Footer when other template is used as default, in Joomla, for example:

  1. Install other template
  2. Make it default
  3. For Nicepage's page use the Header and Footer from Nicepage switching in the page details
  4. For other you will have those from other template

Hi Allen,

The issue that I am facing is with nicepage so I guess this is the correct place to state my question. As I told you three times so far, I know how to use the header and the footer of Nicepage on an imported template. The problem that im facing, and the answer that you dont give me is, that I dont know how to use a different template instead of the post templates of nicepage.

1) What should I change to the code so that nicepage uses a different template for the post contents?
2) Where should I place those new templates? Can I just create a new directory or should I reroute this directory in a config file?
3) Is there a way to do that without interfearing with the code? If yes how? If no then that would be also a nice feature for the wishlist.

Anyways hope now that I've clarrified in extent the questions will help.

Konstantinos,

1) What should I change to the code so that nicepage uses a different template for the post contents?

Not applicable. We do not recommend changing the code. You can do that at your own risk.

2) Where should I place those new templates? Can I just create a new directory or should I reroute this directory in a config file?

Also not applicable. We do not recommend changing the code. You can do that at your own risk.

  1. Install a different template
  2. Use its Post
  3. Use Nicepage only for Nicepage's page specifying the propery.

And yes, to use Nicepage's Joomla please upgrade to Business.
