Ask a Question

Hi there,

Is there a way to swap elements in responsive modes.
For example..

1) Use an image with portrait dimensions (mobile) instead of an image with landscape dimensions (desktop)?

2) Turn a 3 column grid into a single column grid (it automaticaly adjustst in the mobile view BUT not in the tablet view?

Really appreciate your support
Many Thanks,
Oli

3) Could a grid that looks like this.?
1 2 3

become

or..

3) Additionally I’m having issues making my contact form responsive because it has a combination of single and double column fields. Like this..

Field 1
Field2 / Field3
Field4 / Field 5

Hi Oli,

You can disable each control for the phone view using the Hide on option and add a new control that will be hidden in the desktop view and configure it for the responsive layout as you wish.

It is a little frustrating trying to do that because everytime I try to create an independent element in tablet view. I get automatically transferred to desktop view even when the element I am working on is hidden. Is there any way I can stop this..?

Hi Oli,

When you add a new element, do that in the desktop view and then switch to the tablet. There edit the look and disable the element for other views with the hide on option. That should be working fine without switching the views.

Ok,

Previosly I duplicated the block in desktop view and hid one of the blocks.
However the issue is that I am working with the footer and I am not sure how to hide and duplicate elements to be moved arround independently in this area..

You can try using the Grid Element.

Hi,

The order of elements is defined in the page HTML structure. It cannot be changed for different screens. It remains in all modes. Therefore you should consider the layout where you have 3 independent containers (Grid, Group, etc.) displayed on the specific modes only. This is the only way to swap the elements visually.

I have created separate containers for each element. Is this the best way when grids don’t work.?

Oli,

Containers are hard to position. Grids work best for elements that may be out in columns visually.
