Report a bug

I have been playing with your service to figure things out. However I have noticed something I can't get to work. The contact us element. I've tried every form type available. When previewing or even after publishing. I enter the name, email, number if that's an option & a default message. But when I click submit, it says unable to send message. Fix errors & try again, yet no error's are highlighted & no errors from my understanding are found.

The email for the submit is correct & everything else I've checked seems correct. Yet when I click submit, the same error all the time.

Thanks

Usually, settings need to be added on the host side.

Thanks for the default reply directing me to a page that doesn't give any info on anything to do with settings on the host. But you also ignored the fact where I stated when I click publish which give me a url such as https://xxx.nicepage.io/Welcome.html. And seeing as it's hosed by nicepage. I don't think it's host settings that's the issue, otherwise what would be the point of the publish feature if it's limiting your sets functionality? I only use the publish for testing rather than constantly uploading to my own host, which by the way has various websites running with contact us forms & other features without any issue's.

If this feature does not work in the preview, publish or exporting to HTML & uploading it to my own host. I don't think it's external settings that's the issue, its the forms itself.

I'm just another end user, not support.
I tried to give some information that might have helped, until support answers tomorrow.
As far as specific host settings, you'll need to check with your host.
Sorry you didn't find it helpful.

Hi,

If you're working with Nicepage Online, please make sure that you specified the recipient email address under the Form Settings:

nponline-form-submit.png

It is enough for Nicepage Online. If you did not receive an email, please check the SMAP folder too. I've tested the email sending, and it works ok on my side.

Please note that the Form itself cannot send emails. This is a server-side task. Since Nicepage Online is a hosting service with the editor, the email sending is configured on our side. But if you export the website as HTML and upload it to the remote server, the email sending may not work if it is not configured on this server.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Sincerely,
Olivia

Davey,

The Contact Form in the Nicepage App and Plugins is an Element that is editable within the Nicepage layouts.

Abraham,

Please create a separate private case providing your project and temporary access to site admin if you use WordPress or Joomla.

Sorry by interfering. I also have been bumping my head around trying to make it work and send emails from the site with Nicepage contact form template. Finally I got it working and maybe I would be able to help with some basic hints, without pretending to fix other issues.

Being that your server is proper configured and able to send and receive emails, use the instructions at: (link below)

Which mean that you'll be using the URL option. Create the contact.php file (or other name of your choice) with the proposed code, making changes on the two fields written in CAPS ("mail_ from" must reside on your server) . Following the 3 field names on the beginning as example (name, email, message), you could add more fields: each field name is shown at "HTML attribute of an '<'input'>'" when you select each one of them and look at its property (right pane).

Save this php script at the public_html folder of your server (or maybe another folder where your site resides) and, at the Nicepage interface, fill the field "send emails using custom form action" with the path to your php script ej: "\contact.php". The "\" is not optional! This field can be found when you select the whole form block and click at the SUBMIT TO "URL" , just below the "+Add Field" button.... and voilà: -It finally worked for me. Have fun tweaking the form template and don't forget to adapt the script.

Sincerely,
Wes
