Ask a Question

Hi,

I noticed that when I create a new front end design and publish it for Joomla (create zip file with theme, pages, editor plugin and project file), the image files are copied into /images/nicepage-images/

When I have the design ready in the offline Nicepage builder, I organized all images in folders, sorted by types as background, icons, article photo's, etc... Apparently those are just virtual folders, and there is no structure created when the Nicepage template is installed.

What is your advice, to prevent the images directory from becoming one chaotic mess of files? Is there a best practice available?

Or could this be a suggestion as a feature for a next update?

Hello Sven,

When you export your site as project/to HTML/Joomla a default image folder is created.
For Joomla import all images are imported with content into nicepage-images, that is correct.

Image folders and subfolders added in the desktop project are UI features only for now and are not exported with the website or project.
As for now, the Nicepage plugin in Joomla has no impact on the image structure in Joomla, you will need to manually manage them.

Sincerely,
Anna.
